She is the founder of WiCare Lekota Foundation, a trusted resource that supports women and advocates for young widows and their children,She’s an astute Leader, an administrator a Coach, and a therapist by training.
Our Story
The Beginning
A simple social media post, "I am what widowed looks like," sparks a movement. The Visioneer 'Mrs. Qalu Diane' shares her story, resonating with countless widows who felt unseen.
2018
Establishing Community
Shortly after a small support group of 12 women gathers virtually, offering a safe space for healing and shared experiences.
2019
Going Global
WiCare's impact expands beyond borders! The community flourishes, welcoming members from 28 states and 5 countries.
2020
Empowerment Programs
Launch of comprehensive empowerment programs, including vocational training and leadership development. Thousands of widows benefited and renewed their purpose.
2021
A Voice for Widows
WiCare champions advocacy efforts. By raising awareness about widowhood issues, they garner media attention and pave the way for future policy changes.
